So, if you’re looking for a serene setting with fewer onlookers, we recommend these three hidden-gem squares that are the quietest squares for Savannah weddings: Columbia Square, Pulaski Square, and Chatham Square.

Columbia Square: A Secluded Alternative to Lafayette Square

Columbia Square is a dream location for couples who love the look of Lafayette Square’s charming green fountain but want to avoid the heavy foot traffic. Tucked away in the quiet east side of the historic district, Columbia Square offers a serene atmosphere with stunning greenery and historic charm. Therefore it’s a perfect setting for an intimate elopement.

Pulaski Square: Majestic Oaks & Brick Paths

Pulaski Square is one of the most picturesque locations for an elopement, with towering live oaks draped in Spanish moss and charming brick pathways. Unlike many of the more well-known squares, Pulaski is free from large monuments, allowing the natural beauty to take center stage. It’s also located just a block from Jones Street, one of the prettiest streets in Savannah—making it ideal for a post-ceremony couples’ portrait session.

Chatham Square: A Hidden Gem in the Historic District

Chatham Square is another quiet, tucked-away option with stunning oak trees and brick pathways. Also located near Jones Street, it provides a peaceful, intimate setting for a wedding ceremony while still being close to some of Savannah’s most beautiful scenery for photos. While we haven’t photographed an elopement in this square yet, it’s one of our favorite lesser-known spots and we can’t wait for a couple to choose this location!
