What do I do if it rains on my wedding day?
We always hope for the perfect weather on your wedding day, but of course it’s possible that it could be rainy or cold. We are always doing our anti-rain dance for you, but if bad weather does happen on your day, we’ve got some tips and tricks for you to still make the most of your day
! We’ve had couples get married in everything from rainy weather to freezing cold temperatures, and I can tell you one thing: they still enjoyed the HECK out of their day. Simply because they married the love of their life!
Here are a few suggestions if it ends up being rainy and cold on your wedding day:
1. Wear something warm
Try bringing a chic wrap like this
one that Eden wore to put on in-between photos or locations or to actually wear in your photos.
And we know each bride has a different style! We’ve compiled a few different options that may work for your elopement!
Classic Fur Capelet/Bridal Shoulder Cape
Faux Fur Shoulder Cape with Ribbon Tie
2. Bring a cute umbrella for you and your guests
If it starts to rain, have no fear! Clear umbrellas have been a hit with many of our couples who weren’t expecting it to rain on their wedding day! They’re available on Amazon, so you’ll be able to order them at the last minute if you see the forecast turn – and we recommend having them on hand just in case even if the forecast is looking clear. If you or your guests would like clear umbrellas, here
’s a link to some really pretty ones: https://amzn.to/3ruzOR3
. Or, if you want to order in bulk, use this link: https://amzn.to/3r70hVM
Need a little inspo? We totally get it. Megan + Chase, Jen + Joe and Simone + Leland all used clear umbrellas!
3. Hot Hands
This is a new discovery for me and I can’t tell you how happy I am that I found them! Hot Hands
are basically just super small hand-held hand warmers that you can keep in your pockets, your mittens, anywhere really! They keep your hands toasty warm even in the colder temperatures that Savannah has in the winter and early spring! The groom can keep them in his pockets, and guests can take advantage and hold them during the ceremony as well!
No matter what the weather turns out to be on your wedding day, we’ll do our absolute best to make sure your day is PERFECT. rainy, cold, it doesn’t matter, just as long as you’re marrying your best friend!
