For their elopement, Marissa and Cody chose a spot that meant so much to them – Forsyth Park! They said their vows in Forsyth Park, besides the hanging branch where Cody proposed. With their closest friends and family in attendance, they began their marriage surrounded by the people they love the most in their favorite place. Whether you have 2 people or 200 people at your wedding, we think every celebration is equally special – because you’re getting MARRIED! That’s the whole point of a wedding, no matter the size or scale of the event – this is the beginning your marriage adventure, and we can’t think of a more magical moment.

The couple chose The Bright Palette for their flowers, with a focus on lots of shades of peach. We just love how it all tied in with Marissa’s floral embellished dress and veil. We often get asked about hair and makeup, and if you have to travel for it. The answer is no! Your artist from Royal Makeup and Hair will come on location to wherever you are staying. And they will be wearing masks so everyone is safe!

One of the sweetest moments was as Marissa’s dad walked her down the aisle. Eloping but still want that special moment walking down the aisle with your dad? You can absolutely have an intimate wedding and still incorporate some of the big wedding traditions. Marissa’s dad walked her down the aisle to the song “Snow Scene” from Father of the Bride (her family’s favorite movie), and it was such a special, personal touch!
