Justin + Amy: A Cozy Elopement at Hotel Bardo

A Cozy Elopement at Hotel Bardo

Justin + Amy’s cozy elopement at Hotel Bardo was stunning, and actually a last minute rainy day pivot! They originally planned a dreamy Savannah elopement under the iconic oaks of Forsyth Park. However, rain reshaped their day, leading to an intimate ceremony at Hotel Bardo! (Contact Hotel Bardo for details on renting this gorgeous space as your main ceremony location OR as a rain backup plan!)

The couple fell in love with Savannah’s majestic trees during previous visits. They chose the city for its deep Southern charm and natural beauty. Engaged in 2023, they initially wanted a larger wedding, but when they started planning, they longed for simplicity and ultimately chose to elope instead.

Our photographer Bud Johnson captured their day, transforming the cozy hotel settings into stunning backdrops. Every photo reflects the warmth and love of their ceremony with Reverend Danny. Despite the ceremony location change, they were just excited to start their lives together!

They exchanged vows quietly, with no guests. And the rain outside only added to the intimacy of their Hotel Bardo setting. After they said “I Do,” they were able to head outside to take couples portraits around Savannah – with the rain covered streets adding an extra dash of romance.

Justin + Amy’s story is a beautiful reminder: location plans may change, but the joy of marrying your best friend is the most important part of your day, rain or shine!
